Richard L. Ehrhardt, 82, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Richard was born on November 19, 1934, in Moline, IL, the son of Harry G. and Laura E. Natt. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Alcoa, Bettendorf, IA, Ametech, East Moline, IL, J.I. Case, Rock Island, IL, Case IH, Hinsdale, IL, and Case New Holland, Burlington, IA.
Richard graduated from Moline High School in 1952 and later graduated from Moline Community College and Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Moline. Richard loved sports, golfing, and attending MHS basketball games.
Survivors include his brothers, Laurence “Larry” (Karen) Ehrhardt and Donald Ehrhardt; niece, Ellen Latcham; and nephew, Vaughn Ehrhardt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
