Ruth Naomi Blair

November 22, 1928 — January 14, 2017

Ruth Naomi Blair took her last breath in her home surrounded by her sons and daughter, Saturday, January 14, 2017.  Her family was joyous to see her, free of pain at last, go home to Andy (the Lord) and be reunited with those she loved who went before her.

A family directed memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at First Presbyterian Church, 777 25th Avenue, East Moline, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in East Moline. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ruth was born on November 22, 1928, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Lucas T. and Mary Margaret Osborn Krebs.  She married William Donald Blair on November 1, 1952, in Liberal, KS, and he preceded her in death.

Ruth was a member of First Presbyterian Church in East Moline.  She enjoyed gardening and was a member of EAIRS (Enrolled Agent with IRS).

Survivors include her children, William Paul Blair, Rock Island, IL, Donna Jane Blair, East Moline, IL, John Alan (Deb) Blair, Hampton, IL, and Denis Mark (Lisa) Blair, Silvis, IL; grandchildren, Michael Blair, Liberty (Christian) Blair, Nicole Gibson, Zachary (Heather) Blair, Amber (Anthony) Hart, and Jacob (Destiny) Blair; brothers, John and Luke; sisters, Ella and Esther.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Mark; sister, Margaret.
